Leading researchers on lone actor terrorism came from the global world (including Washington D.C., Singapore, Australia…and Tallinn;-) and all disciplines yesterday and today together, project Radicalisation Awareness Network (RAN) via European Commission and RUSI (Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) in London). We try to find solutions for a complex problem.

“In its annual report on the terrorist threat picture to Europe in 2020, Europol pointed out that “all but one of the seven completed or failed attacks were committed by individuals acting alone, while most foiled plots involved multiple suspects.” Lone Actor terrorism is not in itself new, but it has increasingly become the sharp end of the threat from various ideologies in Europe.
